Moving along with our week of July 4th events, Raleigh has started a great tradition on Fayetteville Street. This Saturday from Noon to 11:00 pm come out for a huge free event called The ‘Works! There are beer/wine tents, rides for the kids, live music and so much more. The fireworks start around 9:30 pm over The Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
No matter where you are, you can try different food trucks in preparation for the fireworks that evening. Make a whole day out of it! Maybe I’ll see you on Fayetteville Street. 🙂
This upcoming weekend is the Fourth of July! There are so many events happening in the Triangle that I figured you would like to have a little guide to help you out. Today we are focusing on the Cary, NC events going on this weekend. Keep an eye out the rest of this week for all the other town events.
Bond Park is having Fourth of July events including a fishing tournament, parade decorations, and family contests! On December 10th, it was announced that the North Carolina Museum of Art would be undergoing a new 164-acre project thanks to an anonymous donation! The project is a park campus that will include greenways, bike trails, and new art of course. The vision for this project started long ago in the late ’80s and is finally able to come to life now! More information can be found in the article linked below.

Have you been to Koka Booth Amphitheatre? They have all kinds of events like Beer, Bourbon and BBQ, Fireworks during the Fourth of July, and so much more. One of my favorite events that they have through out the summer is Movies by Moonlight sponsored by WakeMed. There are still a couple showings left this season such as Despicable Me 2 on August 8th, Captain Phillips on August 9th and a Grease Sing-A-Long on August 23rd.
You can call or check out their website for more information on events that they have going on through out the year. If you are unsure about an event due to weather, you can always call the venue the day of and they will let you know what the plan is, which can be very helpful! Keep an eye out for some events going on later on in the year that might be posted here on Lifestyles of the Triangle NC!

On the last Friday of the month, the Town of Cary allows some shops to stay open late and have a tour come through to experience some beautiful artwork! In 2005, the Cary Art Loop was founded with the mission “To maintain a thriving Arts community through positive partnerships and exchanges between artists and Cary venues. We are committed to the esthetic enhancement of our community“. The main event so to speak is Final Fridays, which take place from 6pm to 9pm. August 29th will be the 9th Anniversary of the Cary Art Loop!!! There will be work from 20 different artists and the enhibit will run through September 23rd. If you are unable to make it to Final Friday, you can still go to the venues during regular hours to see the beautiful pieces of work.
